very cool, i especially like the whispy curly webby effect at the topright. the red is well done too, it was a bold move to put the bright red in. very cosmic and extremely deep. the left side foreground could follow the spiral a bit more, let it fall off the page on the bottom and come back in on the bottom left following the spiral. it would help the flow. and yes you are improving...
